Our story

Her story:
Jasdeep and I were studying in the same high school. We were good friends and thats it (really!). After school, I went to attend college in Delhi University and he went to a far away location - Bangalore or some such nerd city ;-) We got back in touch when he was about to move to Delhi and I was packing my bags for an overseas job in Singapore... many a coffee nights in Barista later, I said my farewells...
We were always in touch casually but it was not until much later that he expressed his affection for me. After two years of living on separate continents (and running up a huge phone bill!!!) he got down on one knee to propose...
His story:
For as long as I can remember, Sarika has been a part of my life in one way or the other; as an acquaintance, as a schoolmate, as a friend and last but not the least as my soon to be life partner!
I realized my love for her the day before I moved to Mumbai. And before I could even tell her she had moved to first Singapore and then Amsterdam.
I have had to literally chase her across continents before we two decided to be together. While she did visit while I was in Mumbai, those were the times we two were more exploring how we gelled together than if we wanted to spend our lives together.
I can still remember the day I proposed and she accepted. It was while the sun was setting over the Colosseum in Rome that I got down on one knee and asked her to be my friend, my confidant and my life partner. And she said yes!!!!
The Engagement
The Ceremony

We are both from Delhi so of course we plan to have the wedding ceremony in Delhi. This will mean quite a few days of getting together with family, friends and dear ones, music, dance and the works!!
And finally the wedding; it is on the 29th of Nov 2008 and we plan to have both Hindu and a Sikh ceremony.

Stay tuned as we firm-up the exact agenda!
As they say, 'Dilli Dilwalon Ki' (Delhi is the city of people with hearts - has a romantic connotation ;-) to it. )
